'Poor' mans diet

Well how about a long over due update on my weight loss goal for 2008.

I started the year off at 250, then got myself down to about 246/7.  But lately I have a new motivation to eat less... I'm poor.  Well not really, but we are in the midst of saving up some money for a significant purchase and I felt I needed to do my part.  So no more tasty hamburgers for lunch, just left overs from the previous nights dinner.

The result?  Have lost about 7 pounds in the last 10 days.  Lost some significant size from my belly as well.  So the diet is officially back on.  I'll call it the poor mans diet :-)

APoundADayDiet.com was one of the ten in this contest I was interested in reading... I am in the process of trying to lose weight, last I checked down to 237lbs.  Not a whole lot of info on the site, but if I were desperate to lose weight I'd give his book a shot as he has a money back guarantee.  So if you are really wanting to lose some weight, what do you have to lose?  A meal and a half at McDonald's?

240 pounds

A quick update to my diet.  I am at 240 pounds!  I plan on weighing myself after each night of basketball (as I tend to lose about 5 pounds of sweat) and I'll post milestones here.

240 pounds is a weight I haven't seen in probably 6 months, I've hovered around 245 for some time and as my previous post said... peaked around 250.

Being hungry all the time stinks.  I've been eating less, more often.  My body is really struggling with the 'lack' of food.  But I am determined to get to 200 pounds.

Man I'm fat

So I play basketball two nights a week, and I eat a lot.  A LOT.  So I now weigh right around 250lbs.  I really need to weigh around 200lbs.

So effective today I am going on primarily a salad diet., with some fat free dressing.   Now I'll have to splurge once a week for some meat and/or spaghetti.  

Expect weekly updates on my progress.  The goal is 200!
